I am so delayed in writing this review so forgive me but better late than never! We went on the Disney Magic in September 2024 from Fort Lauderdale to Disney's new port stop in the bahamas, Lookout Cay. My previous blog post has all the details on our experience with Concierge on Disney and specifically the Magic itself so check it out if you have not already. I wanted to cover the cabana situation as Lookout Cay is relatively new and there is not a ton of info out there yet. Disney Lookout Cay Cabana #11 was a great location with a detailed review below.
For disclaimer - we were traveling Concierge so I am sure that is why we were able to get a cabana and even switch our cabana as we originally had cabana #19.
Pros:
Cabana 11 is directly next to the food options as well as relatively close to the bathrooms.
Concessions This cabana also had most of the loungers and umbrellas available in front of the food options. We noticed that the higher number cabanas often times had to come over and bring chairs/loungers back to their area. On the day we were there, the waves were pretty rough and we still had beach front in front of our cabana for most of the time. I feel like the cabanas that are higher numbered than 11 did not share that luxury so they really couldn't put loungers in front of their cabanas and comfortably sit at them.
Rocks - Cabana 11 did not have many rocks in front of it while the higher numbers had more rocks to get into the ocean. In addition cabanas 12-20 also seem to have more amount of stairs as they are a bit more elevated.
Cabanas in general offer a great reprieve from the sun and the heat with a couch and two chairs with a table inside as well as a dining table and chaise lounges on the deck with minimal shade.

Cons:
I think the real con here for cabana 11 specifically is its still a bit of a walk to get back to the ship or if you want to walk back to the main tram pick up area.
I think this a con of disney cabanas in general is just I was expecting a bit more, its just a room with no specific changing area. There is no entertainment other than a few preselected music options and there is not special activities or even a character visit. I know we can't have everything but it honestly felt like 1000 was a lot for the day given the lack of additional things to do. You really need to go to the other part of the island to have any entertainment which is something I feel that Disney could improve.
We travelled in late September so it was still quite hot. I appreciated a space for my little one to relax but their should be an additional fan placed in there other than just the ceiling fan to assist with airflow in the hotter months.
When September is still too hot for the Bahamas!
